↳ The brief
What they came in with.
Pre-pandemic, Beko relied on in-person showroom training to get product knowledge into thousands of retail colleagues. When lockdown hit, that channel vanished overnight — and straight-to-camera product videos weren’t cutting through.
They needed product confidence spread across a large, distributed retail workforce, fast, with no way to gather anyone in a room.
↳ The move
What I did.
We turned the colleagues themselves into the channel. A small group of ten enthusiastic staff — the “Grundig Gurus” — were upskilled in social-style influencing and content creation, then set loose to make short, genuine, product-led videos for their peers.
My role spanned consulting on the approach, training and enabling the Gurus, and running the programme day to day. The learning was bite-sized and social — something colleagues would actually watch on a break — and built as a habit loop, not a one-off push.
↳ The result
What changed.
Rise in use and engagement on the social learning platform the programme ran on.
Ten colleague “Gurus” creating product content for a retail audience of over two thousand.
Recognised at the Learning Technologies Awards and The Learning Awards, as part of the team.
